Louisiana Police Exams
There are three different Police Officer Selection Test formats used in Louisiana.
The police test specified by the Office of State Examiner can be described as “wide and shallow,” meaning that it includes a large variety of questions topics, but only a few questions per each topic.
The New Orleans PD now uses the NTN Frontline exam that concentrates on Situational Judgment.
The Louisiana State Police use a test that includes Basic Math, Reading, Writing, Observation and Recall of Visual Information, and Situational Judgement.
We recommend that new applicants apply to as many different agencies as possible to increase their chances of getting hired. Therefore, you will need a comprehensive test prep course that covers all the topics you may run into. For this reason, your best prep course choice is PoliceExam911 by Sgt. George Godoy.
