NYS Civil Service Police Exam
Most law enforcement agencies in New York State use the NYS Civil Service Police Exam (as updated in 2019) for their entry-level written test. This includes Westchester, Suffolk and Nassau counties.
The civil service exam is unique in that it now includes Situational Judgment questions in addition to other traditional test topics.
The NY State Police Trooper Exam is new for 2020 and no longer the same as the NY Civil Service Exam.
Also, the NYPD Exam and the Port Authority Police Office Exam are slightly different.
