What is the NTN FrontLine Police Exam?
Learn what questions are on the NTN FrontLine police exam and what the top-rated NTN Frontline test prep course is. Practice video based Situational Judgment Test questions that are unique to FrontLine. Many law enforcement agencies in the U.S. use the NTN FrontLine police officer selection test. Applicants will be directed to the National Testing Network (NTN) web site to take the FrontLine exam. The test is administered online. FrontLine and NTN are both owned by Ergometrics.
Be aware, even though this test title includes the word "national,” there is no national standard for police officer selection testing in the U.S. Agencies choose what exam they want to use.
How Long is the NTN FrontLine Exam?
The Frontline National exam usually requires 2.5 hours to complete.
Is the NTN FrontLine Exam Hard?
The NTN FrontLine police exam is considered one of the more difficult police entry exams to pass because, in addition to traditional reading comprehension, candidates will be required to pass two variations of video-based scenario tests. Few applicants have any experience with these types of tests. Preparation and practice will give candidates a big advantage on the NTN FrontLine exam.
Questions on the NTN Frontline Police Exam
There are three parts to the NTN FrontLine Police Test: a video-based human relations test, a reading abilities test and a report writing test.
1. Video-Based Human Relations and Judgment Test
This is FrontLine’s specialty – Situational Judgment Testing. You will watch a total of 46 video scenarios and have a very short time to choose how you would react to each - 90 minutes.
2. Write Police Report
Watch 1 Scenario and Write Incident Report – 10 minutes
3. Writing Test
15 multiple-choice questions - 10 minutes
4. Reading Comprehension
30 multiple-choice questions - 5 minute
