Three forms of entry-level police exams are used in New Jersey:

  • The New Jersey Civil Service Commission requires that you pass the New Jersey Law Enforcement Exam (LEE). The LEE is based upon the Law Enforcement Aptitude Battery (LEAB) published by PSI Online.

  • The New Jersey State Association of Chief of Police (NJSACOPS) recommends the NCJOSI-2.

  • The New Jersey State Police now use the Frontline National plus some portions of the LEAB.

Applicants need to verify with their targeted agencies what exam will be used. This page describes a valuable test prep course that covers all three the NJ Police test formats.
