The Nashville Police use the Frontline National test for their entry-level written exam. Frontline emphasizes  Situational Judgment Testing (SJT). Frontline is administered by National Testing Network or NTN.

Few applicants have ever taken a Situational Judgement Test (SJT) as found on the Frontline exam, so good preparing and practice is critical.

There are three parts to the 3-hour Frontline exam:

• Video-Based Human Relations and Judgment Exam

• Report Writing and Multiple-Choice Writing Test

• Multiple-Choice Reading Test

Applicants must pass each of these sections, e.g. there are three separate scores that must be achieved.
