The DEA Entry-level Written Exam has two main components:
Observation and Recall
Test-takers watch several video-based scenarios and are asked specific questions about facts that they observed in the video. The test is multiple choice.
Written Exercise
Candidates are asked to write an essay based upon a reading a scenario that presents 10 - 15 facts. Applicants are graded on their writing skills, their attention to details and their ability to evaluate information and draw conclusions. The time limit for this exercise is 45-minutes.
